FALL 2016 PART 2

So it sounds like everyone had a killer time at Not Dead Yet. That rules. Hopefully some day I'm allowed to leave the country. Maybe next year. There's just a couple things I wanted to mention and then ya'll can be on your way.

First up, there are two new reissues from the good Brazilian bastardos at NADA NADA DISCOS that are once again exclusively distributed by Warthog Speak, so hit me up if you want wholesale for your store.

OS REPLICANTES - Compacto EP (NADA043)
Replicantes is probably the most famous punk rock (not hardcore) band from Brazil, their three first LPs were release by major labels, but before that in 1984 they recorded a very rare, self-released 7" on their own label, Vortex. On the 7" you can hear much more raw versions of songs that became classics on their first LPs, "Surfista Calhorda" and "O Futuro é Vortex," and two other songs that were never rerecorded. This reissue was remastered from the original tapes and comes with an extra 16-page booklet full of info, flyers, text and photos by Rochelle Costi, a great brazilian artist that made the artwork for the 7".

3D - Vortex #1 EP (NADA044)
Three girls from the South of Brazil, that never touched an instrument entered the studio and made a few songs, than invited a friend that's a classical acoustic guitar player to join the band and the result is the punkest thing that ever came out of Porto Alegre. The music is punk rock, but you can hear post-punk, hardcore, and even a bit of UK DIY. It is completely great! This 11 songs are the first band recording, from Vortex Studios and was released as a split tape with THE COBAIAS in 1988.

Next up from NND is a 7" from GATTOPARDO, following up their LP from 2014..

I was pretty stoked to hear that the evil genius Luke Reich, the toxic mind behind Mutopia Toys made a fucking figure of the NARCOLEPTICS goblin!!!

They're hand molded and hand painted, which is why they're $25.00 ea, but there are only 25 made and cool as fuck. You can buy em here.

In case you forgot how good that band is...

-----

So since Painkiller made the announcement last week, I'm pumped to finally be able to say that the next Warthog Speak release will be a 7" of the 5 missing tracks from the FIT FOR ABUSE Mindless Violence 7", now that the DAT has finally been returned to its spiritual home in Massachusetts and it will be a co-release with Painkiller. I couldn't possiblty be more excited than I already am that I get to release a record by my all-time favorite band, recorded in their prime, except for the fact that it will be followed up shortly after by another FIT FOR ABUSE 7"!!!! The second one—also in conjunction with the buddy-ole-pals at Painkiller—is all eight tracks from the Psycho Ray session. More on all this when ready but now you can go change your diggies.

-----

Finally, I added a bunch of stuff to the webstore, like more SCALPED - II EPs, DEATHLY cassettes, BLAZING EYE - Ways to Die EPs, NO STATIK - Earhammer Soundsystem LPs, COMMANDO 7"s, the previously mentioned NADA NADA releases, PMS 84 second 7", and PRIMAL RITE - Complex Life of Passion 7"s.

See you fucks at the bar.
